Employee Benefit Programs FAQs
What policies and coverage are available to me through my employer?
Digital works with your company to provide the best employee benefits package to meet its workforce needs, as well as budget considerations. The policies available to you depend on what your employer selects. Talk to the person at your organization responsible for employee benefits or contact our Customer Advocate Center for details about your coverage and options.
I see products on your website that I would like to obtain, but they are not available through my employer. How can I get such coverage?
If you are interested in obtaining a type of policy not currently offered through your workplace, talk to the person at your organization responsible for employee benefits. Some businesses elect to offer additional voluntary benefits while you pay the entire cost of the premium, you and your colleagues may qualify for group rates. We also work directly with individuals to help them obtain the coverage they desire at affordable prices.
Who do I contact when I have questions about my insurance?
You can always go directly to the insurance carrier who supplies your coverage. However, Digital's Customer Advocates are available any business day by phone, email or online chat to answer your questions or troubleshoot issues that may arise with your insurance provider. This is one of the distinctive advantages Digital provides to our customers.

I'm a private person and don't want to discuss personal health issues with my employer. Can you help?
Digital's Customer Advocate Center is ideal for employees who want to maintain confidentiality. Because you can communicate directly with our representatives, you never have to share private health matters with your employer. We adhere to all HIPAA guidelines to guard and protect your health information as governed by law.
Our health insurance premiums are expensive. Is there anything we can do to reduce the cost?
Currently, insurance carriers rate companies based on risk, as well as other factors. In other words, if employees or their
family members have a lot of health issues or claims, premiums will be more expensive
for everyone who works there. This presents particular challenges for small businesses
and mid-sized companies. While one intention of health care reform is to change these
dynamics, improving your health status and becoming a better health care consumer is
the best way you and your colleagues can help lower health insurance costs. And you're
likely to feel better and be more productive! Digital's Wellness Management Center
provides the information and interactive tools to help you engage in a healthier
lifestyle.
Digital also can work with your employer to identify other ways to make health insurance more affordable. A
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA) is an option more companies are providing.
In addition, there are tax advantages to you and/or employers who offer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Dependent Care Accounts (DCA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA/105) and Premium Only Plans (POP).
How do I access the Wellness Management Center?
If your company offers employee benefits through Digital Insurance, you may access the Wellness Management Center or on the Employees section of the site.
How are you different from an insurance carrier?
An employee benefits agency is different from an insurance carrier that provides medical, dental, life and disability insurance. We advise business owners and managers about the best available options for their employee benefits package, based on the employer's financial and strategic goals.
